Skiing with an instructor improves confidence and technique and encourages you to make the most of your skiing day. Ski instruction can be arranged at any of the schools in the valley, so please let us know what lessons you would like to take and we can advise you on the best school.
For adults, children or friends of similar ability it works best to hire a private instructor who will tailor a programme for you or your group. If you book an instructor for a full day or a half day we can arrange for the instructor to pick you up from your chalet. The price for 2 hours of instruction is from ¥18,000, a half day ¥25,000 and a full day ¥50,000.
As well as the private instructors, we arrange group lessons for all levels. A half-day lesson for adults costs ¥6,000 and for a full day ¥12,000. Group lessons are wonderful for encouraging all levels and are a cheaper alternative to private instruction.
Night skiing or "Nighta" is available at four of the resorts. (Happo, Goryu, Cortina and Kashimayari) Hours differ per resort, but usually runs until around 21:00.
